Welcome to The Blue Basset. By using our website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms of Service.
Our products
The Blue Basset creates hand-painted and creative products, many of which are painted or made to order.
Because our products are individually hand-painted, small variations in colour, brushwork, placement and finish are normal and form part of the unique character of each piece. Product photographs are intended to represent the design as accurately as possible, but each hand-painted item may vary slightly.
Orders
By placing an order, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order where there has been an obvious pricing or product information error, where a product cannot reasonably be supplied, or where payment has not been received.
If we need to cancel an order after payment has been received, the amount paid for the cancelled item or order will be refunded.
Payment
Orders must be paid using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.
Where payment is made by EFT or bank transfer, please use your Shopify order number as the payment reference. Your order will only be regarded as paid once payment has been received and confirmed.
For painted-to-order products, our stated preparation time begins once payment has been received.
Painted-to-order and personalised products
Many Blue Basset products are created specifically for each customer. Once painting or production has begun, changes or cancellations may not be possible.
Please check personalised wording, names, dates, colours and other information carefully before submitting your order. We will work from the information supplied with your order or subsequently approved by you.
Pricing
All prices are displayed in South African Rand (ZAR).
Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown separately during checkout.
Shipping and collection
Our preparation, courier and collection arrangements are explained in our Shipping Policy.
Customers arranging their own courier should only do so once they have received confirmation that their order is ready for collection.
Returns, refunds and damaged items
Returns, cancellations, damaged items and refunds are dealt with in accordance with our Return and Refund Policy and applicable South African consumer law.
Website content
All photographs, artwork, designs, branding, written content and other original material displayed on The Blue Basset website remain the property of their respective rights holders and may not be copied, reproduced or used commercially without permission, except as permitted by law.

Applicable law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Nothing in these Terms of Service is intended to exclude or limit any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable South African law.
